Timeless magic

We Make a Difference Through Magic

Philosophy and Approach

Empower, Grow and Connect

We believe in the power of magic. Learning and performing magic engages the mind, boosts self esteem and confidence, forms positive social relationships and develops discipline.

We want to make a difference in the society by engaging isolated demographics such as seniors and at-risk youths.

Active Aging with Seniors:

We strive to create an environment and lifestyle that encourages seniors to stay physically, mentally, and socially engaged as they age. Through learning magic in a group setting, seniors are physically and mentally stimulated by learning theatrical movements and sleight of hand. Within a group setting, they form social connectivity with each other.

The result of being able to perform magic allows them to connect with their grandchildren and forming intergenerational interactions with improved quality of life.

Magic is our tool of choice as the unexpected skill of dexterity and sleight of hand overacts with the common stereotypes of ageism.

At-Risk Youths:

We strive to empower our students with the confidence and showmanship. Through the craft of magic, our students engages in meaningful and intentional practice. The act of practising to attain the perfect illusion is a step towards learning the value of perseverance and discipline.

By performing magic and impressing their peers with magic (rather than undesirable activities like vaping), they have a healthy outlet to showcase what they have learnt.

More than just learning tricks, we want to our students to grow their showmanship and presentation skills that are transferable to the corporate workplace and public speaking.

Case Studies

Seniors Go!
Unexpected Magic (A project with Lien Foundation)

In this project, we worked with Lien Foundation in training 9 seniors (age ranging from 62 to 80 years old) to learn sleight of hand magic, stage magic and culminating in a finale performance in a theatre.

  • The project took about 18 weeks with 12 weeks focusing on learning magic and performance techniques and 6 weeks of rehearsals.

Self-limiting mindset were reduced during the lessons by carefully staggering the magic routines based on difficulty; the easy ones to boost confidence and the difficult ones to challenge them to succeed. Through this, they understood that they can do the magic as long as time and practice were given.

  • The participants performed at The Theatre Practice (Waterloo Street) to a crowd of 120 pax. It was a full house performance filled with family, friends and members of the public.

  • Self reports of higher self esteem, deeper connections with families and friends through magic and friendships were forged.

Project was a success and was shared with healthcare professionals at Center of Healthcare Innovation 2023
